Who I am

I am Mathieu Ponton, Co-Founder & Software Engineer at Apogée Consult . My work: turning ideas into concrete, useful and maintainable web, mobile and AI (RAG) applications. I take ownership of architecture, backend, frontend and industrialization (CI/CD, monitoring, observability).

My background spans public sector (Métropole de Lyon), startup (Superwyze) and entrepreneurship (Apogée Consult), with an engineering degree in Computer Science from Polytech Lyon (work-study programme, expected graduation September 2026). I like working on products where reliability, performance and user experience genuinely matter.

Beyond code

Outside of work, sport is a big part of my daily routine. I am passionate about triathlon and endurance in general: running, cycling, swimming, trail and mountain hiking. I ran the Barcelona Marathon in March 2026 and keep training to improve on long distances.

Photography is another passion of mine. I enjoy capturing moments outdoors — in the mountains, while travelling or in everyday life — as a way to hold on to the places and instants that matter.
